Sobelcomp recently introduced a strict quality procedure to meet the exacting requirements of the Aeronautics, Space and Defence (ASD) sector. EN 9100 and ISO 9001 certification were also obtained in March 2016.
EN 9100 describes a series of requirements for a company’s quality management system specific to the ASD sector.
Sobelcomp does not regard this certification as an end in itself but as proof of its continuous improvement and commitment to offering customers a premium service.
Sobelcomp has also been involved in the Mach initiative since it was launched by the Skywin competitiveness hub in Wallonia in 2014.
Initially developed in Quebec, the aim of the Mach project is to optimise aerospace supply chain performance in Wallonia to boost global competitiveness. This involves an annual audit using a specific grid – scores are allocated and any suggestions for improvement are made.
Sobelcomp is sponsored by Safran Aero Boosters to ensure that improvements are made efficiently.
Sobelcomp also has the CE label (EN 12899-1:2007) for the production of road signs.
