01 Mar Sobelcomp obtains EN 9100 and ISO 9001 certification
After 1 year’s efforts, Sobelcomp obtained the highly demanding EN 9100 and ISO 9001 certifications for its quality management system.
EN 9100 is a standard defining a series of requirements for a company’s quality management system. This standard is specific to the aeronautics, defence and space sectors.
Obtaining certification will give Sobelcomp access to new markets. Sobelcomp is now in the OASIS database. This unique database is a record of all companies certified at international level. It is therefore also a resource for customers looking for new suppliers.
This special certification (only twenty or so companies are certified in Wallonia) will also help to differentiate the company from direct competitors (in Belgium and the rest of the world).
Some potential customers and projects were out of reach because they required their suppliers to have the certification.
