Sobelcomp – assisting customers with composite materials projects since 2005.

  • 2005

    Brothers John-Thomas & Laurent Thaels take over Sobelcomp.

  • 2009

    The 2 brothers and associates relocate the business and buy a new building in Loncin, Belgium.

  • 2011

    Sobelcomp invests in a second building opposite the first one, taking production capacity up to 2,000m².

  • 2013

    Sobelcomp acquires a Kuka machining robot for finishing work: cutting, routing, drilling, shaping and high-speed milling.

  • 2016

    Sobelcomp confirms its intention of investing in a strict quality procedure by obtaining ISO 9100 and EN 9100 certification for its quality management system.

  • 2017

    Sobelcomp acquires a 3rd building on the rue Marie Curie, not far from the first two. This building has a 20-tonne bridge crane and is for Aero assembly jobs only.
